Regional Sales Manager (Texas)
Summary of the position :
Manages the sales and business development for a defined territory (Texas). This includes selecting, training and supporting channel partners (distributors) in addition to direct sales of key customers / markets. The focus is profitably and growing the business in multiple markets, solving customer problems and streamlining business operations. The ideal candidate will have a combination of technical and business skills; ideally, entrepreneurial and hands-on in their approach to work and life. The successful candidate will be energetic, persuasive and well organized, having prior experience to sell a technical product in their career.
Key Responsibilities :
- Establish and meet objectives by forecasting and developing sales volume for the region, establish sales targets for channel partners and project expected sales volume and profitability for existing and new products in the future.
- Understand and effectively communicate the company’s value proposition and technical benefits to prospective customers and channel partners.
- Respond to customer inquiries, follow up with internal and external customers in a timely manner.
- Work with internal teams on behalf of clients to ensure the highest level of customer service.
- Excellent interpersonal skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with management and cross-functional teams, for both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Communicate with customers in a professional manner
- Provide basic technical training (such as field installations & demos) to customers
- Help generate quotations & proposals.
- Participation in various types of training to stay current on job knowledge required to answer customer (internal and external) questions. Training often involves travel to France.
- Create strong relationships with key client stakeholders at multiple levels
- Excellent communication and computer skills.
- Understand the competitive landscape and market trends.
- Ensure reports and other internal intelligence and insight is provided to the sales and marketing teams.
- Desire to own projects and exceed expectations, with creative ability to find solutions and deliver results.
- Apply your problem solving, multi-tasking, data analysis and creativity

This person is not looking to work for a giant company and disappear into the background. We are a small company (~100 employees) where results matter and your contributions will be highly visible.
