Job Summary
EMCOR Construction Services Midwest (ECS) is seeking a Mechanical Design Engineer in our Fort Wayne, IN office. In this position, you will work with the rest of the mechanical design team to support in the design of mechanical and plumbing systems with a focus on Educational and Government entities. You will provide engineering support for energy conservation strategies and MEP construction projects working under an experienced Mechanical Project Engineer and / or Sr. Project Engineer.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Perform HVAC load calculations on buildings for analysis.
- Perform plumbing calculations on the buildings for analysis.
- Perform field investigation for systems, layout, drawings, etc.
- Assist in sizing equipment through selection software and vendor coordination.
- Generate HVAC and plumbing plans and perform drafting utilizing AutoCAD.
- Coordinate design of additional disciplines such as Architectural, Civil, Structural, Fire Protection, etc.
- Assist in developing and generating Details & Schedules.
- Assist with building audits, and analysis of existing systems.
- Become and remain familiar with Codes and Standards.
- Assist the team in solidifying complete solutions and provides clarity through design.
