Job descriptionBachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering. 3-5 years of experience designing HVAC and Plumbing systems for buildings. PE License preferred, but not required. Must have AutoCAD experience. Familiar with automated software such as Carrier’s Hourly Analysis Program (HAP) or Trane Air conditioning Economics (Trace). Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Must have strong technical and problem-solving skills. Competitive base salary. Medical, Dental and Vision Insurance. A mid-sized A / E firm located in the St. Louis; MO area is looking for a Mechanical Engineer who is an independent self-starter with the ability to work well as part of a team and grow into the Mechanical Department Manager. We have a casual, but very productive environment and offer excellent benefits. This is not a remote or part-time position.
Responsibilities
- Design of multiple HVAC system types, packaged rooftop units, air handlers, plumbing and piping.
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Will be responsible for producing Design Development and Construction Documents.
- Process RFI’s, shop drawings and submittals.
- Attend client meetings and conference calls.
- Coordinate projects / drawings with consultants (both in and out of house).
- Conduct existing condition site surveys.
- Ability to travel.
