Job Description
Create technical and manufacturing drawings using AutoCAD and SolidWorks CAD programs.
Work from rough sketches and specifications prepared by engineers and manufacturing personnel to develop working drawings for review.
- Collect initial drawings, collaborate with engineers, and integrate all relevant data into coherent and complete initial design models for review and modification.
Coordinate directly with engineers and project managers to understand project requirements, verify design details, and recommend modifications to meet company ar
Annotate and verify all numerical designations and specifications in technical drawings using CAD programs and manual calculations.
Communicate with manufacturing personnel to develop equipment layouts and assembly drawings to ensure efficient fabrication.
Job Skills
Proficiency in AutoCAD and SolidWorks is essential.
A minimum of 10 years of experience in general machine design and component design using various materials.
Experience with aluminum furnace and refractory work is preferred but not required.
Physical Requirements
Ability to sit at a desk and work on a computer for prolonged periods.
Must safely access and inspect all areas of machinery.
High school diploma required; technical school diplomas preferred.
