Pickering Firm, Inc. is seeking a Mechanical Engineer, PE to join our team. This position supports the firm’s Building Department, located in Memphis, TN. This Engineer will work within Pickering’s corporate philosophy of performing quality work for our clients, treat employees as our prime asset and be active, responsible members of the community.
Responsibilities :
o Have minimum 5 years of experience in mechanical design and development.
- Interface with a client to determine scope.
- Site Visit Verification.
- Run cooling loads (Trane Trace).
- Specify equipment, design ductwork, and piping systems.
- Write specifications
- Review equipment submittals.
- Respond to RFIs
- Write punch lists and closeout projects.
o Provide detailed guidance to a staff of engineers.
o Manage large and complex projects.
o Communicate and coordinate effectively with other disciplines.
o Work collaboratively in an office setting.
Qualifications :
o Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineer
o 5+ Years’ design and development
o Project Management
o Licensed Professional Engineer
o Strong knowledge of software and other engineering tools (Revit, AutoCAD)
o Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
o Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
