Job descriptionBachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field. 5+ years of mechanical design experience in semiconductor, automation, or high-tech manufacturing industries. Proficient in SolidWorks, PDM, and related CAD platforms. Strong understanding of GD&T, tolerancing, and materials (aluminum, stainless, polymers). Familiarity with vacuum systems, cleanroom standards, or precision robotics is a plus. Excellent communication and project collaboration skills. Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field. Experience with simulation tools (e.g., SolidWorks Simulation, ANSYS). Experience with ERP systems for BOM management. Knowledge of ISO 13485, ISO 9001, or SEMI standards. Hourly Pay Rate : $57-$71 / hour, based on skills and experience.

Position Overview
Ultimate Staffing Services is actively seeking talented Mechanical Engineers in San Jose, CA. This kind of role requires a dedicated professional with strong expertise in SolidWorks, CAD design, and mechanical systems engineering. The ideal candidate will excel in designing components and assemblies for high-tech manufacturing or semiconductor equipment, managing the full lifecycle of mechanical design from concept through production support.
Responsibilities
- Design precision mechanical parts, assemblies, and enclosures using SolidWorks and 2D / 3D CAD tools.
- Develop detailed fabrication drawings and BOMs in compliance with manufacturing standards.
- Collaborate with electrical, software, and systems engineers to develop integrated solutions.
- Perform tolerance analysis, FEA, and thermal assessments for critical components.
- Interface with vendors and manufacturing teams to support prototyping and production.
- Drive DFM / DFA practices to ensure efficient and cost-effective manufacturability.
- Participate in design reviews, testing, validation, and engineering change processes.
- Document design procedures, specifications, and test results according to ISO / ASME standards.
