Mechanical Engineer Position Summary We are seeking a skilled Mechanical Engineer to contribute design and drafting expertise to a variety of projects. This role involves creating detailed component drawings, mechanical details, system layouts, and mechanical designs while collaborating with Project Engineers and other team members. Key Responsibilities Interpret and incorporate design input from engineering personnel. Research and explore various design possibilities as needed. Develop detailed shop, field, and subcontractor fabrication drawings. Ensure all work is accurate, complete, and meets customer and company CAD standards. Apply appropriate dimensioning and tolerance values to convey precise fabrication intent. Produce clear, precise, and easily readable drawings optimized for efficient paper use. Visit job sites as needed to assess field conditions and collect data, which may involve extended travel. Include fabrication notes to clarify special procedures where necessary. Conform to ISO standards and follow established backup procedures. Utilize company resources efficiently and responsibly. Work professionally as part of a team and assist colleagues as needed. Maintain regular and reliable attendance, with occasional extended hours, weekends, or holidays as required. Perform additional duties and projects as assigned to meet company objectives and client needs. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering. Proficiency in CAD software. Strong mechanical aptitude to understand machinery and equipment functionality. Ability to interpret specifications, drawings, instructions, and other design inputs. Capable of working independently and managing tasks effectively. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills for collaboration with engineering, shop, and field teams. Solid understanding of fabrication and dimensioning practices related to equipment construction.
