Your Impact

Here’s where you’ll demonstrate your proficiencies :

This individual under the direct supervision of the Global EHS Manager will be responsible for the maintenance and repair of all Fairport equipment, property, and grounds.

Complete work requests regularly and perform preventative maintenance, complying with safety standards at all times.

  • Performing routine maintenance around the building such as fixing structural damage
  • Repairing broken or leaking plumbing to avoid water damage and restore full use of water fixtures
  • Working on damaged electrical wiring and installing new electrical devices
  • Maintaining the building HVAC equipment in order to keep climate control in the facility functioning properly
  • Applying preventative maintenance techniques to avoid unnecessary breakdowns of equipment and building components
  • Fixing potential safety hazards to avoid injuries
  • Other duties as assigned

Skills & Experience

The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate the following skills and experience :

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • 3 to 5 years’ experience in a maintenance role required
  • Plumbing knowledge to address leaks, clogs or other drainage problems
  • Electrical wiring capabilities to manage problems with the building’s electricity
  • Carpentry ability to handle basic repairs around the building
  • Groundskeeping of the lawns or other outdoor areas in need of maintenance
  • Interpersonal skills to interact with employees of the building in a pleasant manner
  • Attention to detail to ensure that all jobs are completed in an exemplary manner and any potential hazards or warning signs of problems are not overlooked
  • Physical stamina to handle a full shift of being active and working on the building

    • Working Conditions

  • Regularly exerting up to 20 lbs. of force and occasionally up to 50 lbs.
  • Bending body downward and forward at the waist.
  • Standing for sustained periods of time.
  • Moving about on foot to accomplish tasks.
