What we're looking for :

In this role, you will ensure Nexamp's environmental health and safety programs and processes, which are associated with a variety of field related activities, are effectively implemented and followed to minimize risk to people, our organization, and in full compliance with applicable regulatory standards.
In addition, you will ensure the regional construction safety specialists perform assigned tasks comprehensively and in a timely manner. These responsibilities include monthly project job-site safety inspections, on-site support for incident management, and oversight of high-risk operations such as crane lifts and blasting operations. The EHS Manager provides safety leadership, onsite coaching and capability development of Nexamp site supervisors, project managers and contractors, through positive engagement, teamwork, and continuous improvement messaging.
You will verify contractor-submitted onboarding and project related documentation meets expectations of Nexamp EH&S programs, including but not limited to training records, site-specific health and safety plans, high-risk operational permits, methods of procedure, incident investigations and root-cause analysis.
You will be hybrid out of Chicago, IL. You will report to the Director, EH&S
What you'll do :
- Manage regionally based team of EH&S construction specialists.
Ensure regular, periodic site visits to assigned project construction sites
What you'll bring :
If you don't meet 100% of the above qualifications, but see yourself contributing, please submit an application. We encourage people from minority or marginalized groups to apply.

You'll love working here because :
