Central City Concern is an innovative nonprofit agency providing comprehensive services to single adults and families in the Portland metro area who are impacted by homelessness, poverty and addictions. We hire people that are skilled and passionate to meet our mission to end homelessness through outcome-based strategies which support personal and community transformation.
Central City Concern's Mobile Health team travels to sites and areas with dense populations of unsheltered individuals and works in coordination with events that draw these individuals together, or other community health events.
This position will work as a member of a multi-disciplinary team in Mobile Health to deliver comprehensive, person-centered, integrated services to the community. The Mobile Health Medical Assistant (MA) plays a critical role in patient care. MAs work to support providers and patients throughout the patient visit and are also integral members of the patient care team. MAs provide patient-centered care and work closely with providers and all clinical staff. MAs also work with outreach workers and other non-clinical staff to ensure flow is smooth and patient experience is positive.
Schedule : Tuesday - Friday, 8 : 00am - 6 : 30pm
Location : Mobile Medical
Compensation : $23.43 per hour for non-certified and $27.40 per hour for certified
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS :
- High School or GED required.
- One (1) year recent, verifiable medical assistant experience within a health care setting, with a behavioral health setting preferred.
- Must have current BLS certification prior to start.
- Must possess a current driver's license, access to a vehicle, qualify as an Acceptable Driver as designated in Central City Concern's Fleet Safety policy. Must pass an initial drivers training within 60 days of being an approved driver and continued recertification training. Must maintain vehicle insurance coverage of a minimum of $100,000 / $300,000 personal auto liability coverage.
- Completion of a Certificate-level Medical Assistant program accredited by the Commission on Accreditation of Allied Health Educational programs (CAAHEP), such as AAMA or NCCT, is preferred.
- Must meet CCC privileging requirements as required by FTCA.
- Bilingual preferred.
- Previous experience working with underserved populations, specifically people without stable housing, preferred.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES :
Preparation for pre-visit huddle with clinical team, including chart review for immunizations, screenings, chronic conditions, mental health issues
Collection, documentation and reporting of patient's vital signs per clinic protocols.
