Job descriptionPrepare and manage billings for all client Services OMH Article 31 licensed programs Ensure all billings were received and processed within required time frames Address denials in a timely manner and resubmit claims or appeals Collaborate with program leadership and clinical staff to ensure all information needed is collected and entered (contact providers to obtain and enter authorizations, diagnosis codes, member IDs) Prepare a weekly collectability status report. Follow up on aging receivables and claims paid short Update shared department reports Reconcile billing with cash received Prepare medical billing accrual report and entry to be entered in accounting system. Analyze accruals vs. actual billing and payments Perform other duties as required Medical, dental & vision Critical Illness, Accident, and Hospital 401(k) Retirement Plan – Pre-tax and Roth post-tax contributions available Life Insurance (Voluntary Life & AD&D for the employee and dependents) Short and long-term disability Health Spending Account (HSA) Transportation benefits Employee Assistance Program Time Off / Leave (PTO, Vacation or Sick Leave)

Qualifications :
- Bachelor’s degree in finance, business, or accounting preferred
- 2-3+ years of Medical billing experience required
- DIRECT BILLING EXP REQUIRED – NOT Third Party billing
- Good writing and record keeping skills
- Familiarity with medical terminology
- Must be computer literate, including ability to learn and use program-specific software.
- Proficiency with computer systems, including Microsoft Suite and Gmail
- Intermediate or above excel skills preferred - WILL BE TESTED
- Excellent communication skills (verbal and written)
- Demonstrated ability to maintain the confidentiality of clients’ records
- Demonstrated overall knowledge of authorization processing for insurance companies

The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $30.00 / hr.
