Job Summary
We are seeking a Medical Biller to join our team! As a medical biller, you will be working closely with Patients to answer questions related to billing, process all forms needed for insurance billing purposes, and collect necessary documentation from pateints. You will also assist other Medical Billers with patient follow-up inquiries, communicate with physicians' offices and hospitals to obtain records, and accurately record patient information. The ideal candidate has excellent attention to detail, strong customer service skills, and is comfortable spending much of the day on the phone.
General Summary / Responsibilities :
Other duties as assigned.
Education : High school diploma or general equivalency diploma (GED). Bachelor’s degree preferred.
Experience : Minimum two years of medical billing experience in a medical office setting. Demonstration of an interest in leadership committed to advancing healthcare delivery and improving patient outcomes.
Skills : Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to interact with staff, patients, physicians, and other stakeholders effectively. Strong interpersonal skills to build and maintain relationships with physicians, vendors, and other healthcare professionals. Proficiency in healthcare management software and electronic health records (EHR) systems is required. Experience with eClinicalWorks preferred. Strong problem-solving skills and ability to handle sensitive or confidential information with discretion. Effective time management skills to handle multiple responsibilities and tasks efficiently.The ability to adapt to changing healthcare regulations, industry trends, and operational needs.
