Job description

LHH is currently recruiting for a Medical Pre-Billing Specialist for one of our top clients in Phoenix, AZ. This is a fully onsite, direct hire role where you'll be making a real difference for our patients and our team.

What You'll Do :

Be a Patient Advocate : Help patients understand their outstanding balances and guide them through third-party payer options and Medicaid qualification.
Analyze Trends : Spot adverse billing, collections, and payer trends. Report your findings to management and suggest solutions.
Understand Payer Requirements : Know the ins and outs of payer fee schedules, claim requirements, and facility contracts.
Communicate with Insurances : Contact insurance companies and government agencies to verify eligibility, process authorizations, and discuss benefits and billing requirements.
Handle Patient Calls : Support collections activities, including financial reviews for charity programs, payment plans, and resolving patient concerns.
Verify Insurance Coverage : Confirm insurance coverage, obtain prior authorizations, and coordinate benefits.

What You Need :

Education : High school diploma or GED equivalent.

Experience : 5+ years in medical billing / collections.

Skills : Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel) and medical billing software. Knowledge of HCPCS, CPT, ICD-9 / ICD-10 codes, medical terminology, and clinical documentation.

Other Requirements : Must pass a pre-placement drug test and background screen.

Compensation :

Salary : $41,600 - $47,500 annually, based on experience.
