Are you a detail-driven problem solver with a passion for helping patients navigate their financial journey in healthcare? We're looking for a dedicated and proactive Medical Patient Billing & Collection Specialist to be the key link between our patients and their financial well-being.
In this role, you'll be the go-to expert in managing patient accounts, ensuring timely and accurate payments , and helping patients understand their medical bills with compassion and clarity . If you have top-notch communication skills, a sharp eye for detail, and a knack for keeping things organized , this is your chance to shine in a fast-paced, rewarding healthcare environment!
Key Responsibilities :
- Review patient billing and balances to ensure accuracy and compliance with insurance regulations.
- Handle patient inquiries regarding billing, insurance, and payment options.
- Follow up on outstanding balances and work with patients to establish payment plans or resolve billing issues.
- Maintain confidentiality and adhere to HIPAA compliance regulations at all times.
- Work closely with patients to resolve discrepancies and ensure prompt payment.
- Answered incoming calls regarding billing questions, payment plans, and account status.
- Provide clear and accurate explanations of charges, claims, and payment policies
- Assist patients in understanding their billing statements, insurance coverage, and payment responsibilities
- Address patient concerns or disputes with billing and escalate to management when needed.
- Maintain a calm and compassionate demeanor when discussing sensitive billing issues with patients
- Ensure all patient interactions are documented accurately in the billing system, including follow-up actions
- Making outbound calls to patients with outstanding balances to discuss overdue payments and resolve any issues related to their accounts.
