Salary : $12-$15 per hour

Evolution Wellness is a thriving private outpatient therapy practice in Wilmington, North Carolina. We specialize in therapy for anxiety, trauma, depression, and relationships for individuals, couples, families, and teens. To keep our operations running smoothly, were looking for a detail-oriented, problem-solving Billing Specialist to join our team part-time.

What Youll Be Doing

Reviewing and submitting claims, correcting rejections, and working directly with insurance companies to ensure smooth processing.

Communicating with clients about benefits coverage, payment plans, and outstanding balances.

Following up on unpaid claims, resolving denials, and bringing payment trends or issues to leadership.

Handling patient collections professionally and efficiently.

Posting charges for services rendered and auditing chart documentation to ensure accuracy.

Staying up-to-date with billing codes (CPT, HCPCS, ICD-10) and educating staff on updates.

What You Bring to the Table

1-3 years of experience in medical billing or accounts receivable (mental health billing preferred but not required).

Familiarity with electronic medical billing systems and claims processing.

Strong problem-solving skills ability to troubleshoot claim denials and payment issues with ease.

A professional, client-friendly attitude in both face-to-face and online interactions.

Ability to work independently while collaborating with the administrative and clinical teams.
