Job descriptionDoctorate of Medicine or Osteopathic Medicine from an accredited university. Completion of a psychiatric residency at an accredited program. Board certification by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology. Three (3) years of full-time paid professional experience working in a human service, social service, mental health or behavioral health setting. One (1) year of full-time paid professional experience as an executive, administrator, manager or supervisor in a human service, social service, mental health or behavioral health setting. A valid and current Michigan License to practice as a physician. A valid and current Michigan controlled substance license. Valid and current Drug Enforcement Agency Registration. A valid State of Michigan Driver's License with a safe and acceptable driving record.

JOB SUMMARY
The Medical Director for the Crisis Program is responsible for the oversight and provisions of all services at the Crisis Care Center. In addition to the part-time administrative responsibilities, the psychiatrist will be expected to have a combination of responsibilities that include supervision of the mobile crisis team, education for students, residents, or fellows as applicable, and providing direct clinical services.
Prinicpals and Responsibilities :
- Supervises all clinical activities for the 24 / 7 Crisis Program.
- Provides clinical leadership and supervision of all medical / clinical aspects of service delivery.
- Ensures psychiatric assessments and follow-ups are completed.
- Provides direct psychiatric services.
- Consults with primary healthcare providers on the clinical aspects of the individuals being served and the implications for those individual's physical healthcare needs.
Required Qualifications :
Additional Board Certification in Child and Adolescent Psychiatry and / or Addiction
Psychiatry is preferred.
REQUIRED EXPERIENCE :
REQUIRED LICENSE(S).
