POSITION SUMMARY
The Medical Director is responsible for overseeing all clinical activity including planning, directing, coordinating, and evaluating a comprehensive and complex program of medical services within the correctional institutions. Work involves formulation of medical policies, procedures and standards, and assisting the facilities' medical and administrative staff in integrating medical services into the overall treatment philosophies and practices. Collaborates with the Director, Jail Operations to assist in development and monitoring of Site Quality Process improvement plans to improve quality outcomes.
DUTIES / RESPONSIBILITIES
JOB REQUIREMENTS
The following requirements list the minimum to qualify. An equivalent combination of education and experience may be accepted.
LICENSING : Current, unrestricted Nebraska medical licensure; current Nebraska Controlled Substance license and DEA required.
CERTIFICATION : Board certification unless client exemption allowed; CPR certification; CCHP certification preferred
EDUCATION : Medical degree required
EXPERIENCE : Five (5) years of professional medical experience including at least three (3) years of professional supervisory or administrative experience, preferred. Correctional experience preferred.#J-18808-Ljbffr
