Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Medical Assistant to join our team in the tri-state NYC area. In this traveling role, you will provide vital clinical support across various skilled nursing and long-term care facilities. You will play a key role in delivering high-quality, compassionate care, ensuring smooth operations, and enhancing the well-being of our residents.
Responsibilities
- Assist with patient intake, including taking medical histories, measuring vital signs, and recording patient information
- Prepare and maintain examination and treatment areas, ensuring a clean and organized environment
- Assist physicians and nurses with medical procedures, including administering medications, drawing blood, and preparing specimens for laboratory testing
- Perform routine clinical tasks such as ECGs, wound care, and specimen collection in accordance with established protocols
- Operate and maintain a REDS (Remote Dielectric Sensing System) machine for diagnostic purposes, including setting up, calibrating, and troubleshooting the equipment
- Provide patient education and support, explaining procedures and treatment plans to residents and their families
- Maintain accurate and confidential patient records in compliance with healthcare regulations
- Coordinate with healthcare providers and administrative staff to ensure efficient patient care and facility operations
- Travel to various facilities within the tri-state NYC area using personal or company-provided transportation
- Stay current with medical best practices and relevant procedures through ongoing education and training
