Full-time Evenings
Perform and evaluate complex laboratory tests in various areas of the clinical including but not limited to hematology, clinical chemistry, urinalysis, coagulation, and microbiology requiring how to operate complex precision instrumentation and a variety of automated and electronic equipment. Techs work with minimal supervision, and have the necessary background to recognize problems, be proficient in troubleshooting and problem solving. Tech’s may be key operators for various instruments, aiding the supervisor in training, advanced maintenance procedures, and troubleshooting. They may assist in developing and modifying procedures and programs to ensure the accuracy of a test. They perform all required Quality Control procedures; document results accurately and follow through appropriately on all outliers. Notifies the supervisor of any unusual or unexpected results and of all existing and / or potential problems of any nature, utilizing the appropriate laboratory and hospital documentation forms. They report all critical values to the appropriate person and complete the required documentation. Tech’s follow all organizational, departmental, and section policies such as Universal Precautions, Fire Safety, QA documentation, Hazardous Waste, etc.

Qualifications
- 2-5 years in a hospital laboratory
- Baccalaureate Degree or Associate's in a Science required
- Must be CLIA eligible for High Complexity Testing
- MT(ASCP) or equivalent preferred
