Laboratory Coordinator

Location : Fairfax, VA 22030 | In the office M-F daily with flexible hours (40 hours per week)

Industry : Health and safety, scientific, consumer services

Financial Information : $2B+

Reports To : Laboratory Manager

Responsibilities :

Assisting with sample handling and shipping
Returning samples after tests are completed to customer (or for disposal)
Working in a laboratory environment, coordinating with engineers and project owners
Helping assign work to testing team based on different workflow streams
Organizing testing samples and scheduling – folder management, color coding
Providing information to the team for efficient sample processing
Ensuring sample information is accurate and ready for testing

Ideal qualifications for someone in this role :

Highly organized with strong attention to detail

Experience working in a laboratory environment is preferred

Experience working with Excel and / or LIMs (laboratory information systems) is preferred

Professional, reliable – with strong problem-solving skills

Experience working with your hands, using basic tools and laboratory equipment

Compensation :

17.00 per hour
