Immediate full-time and part-time positions available, rate of pay determined by level of experience.

We are actively seeking a medical assistant to work in our residential program. BASIC PURPOSE : To provide primary care for adolescents ranging from 12-17 who struggle with mental health issues, eating disorders and / or substance abuse. To provide ongoing support to group therapist and academic liaison during group and school time; give medications to clients and document administration of medications.
Specific Responsibilities :
At intake, the Medical Assistant is also responsible for taking the vital signs, blood pressure, height, weight, drug screen, body check, etc.
Additionally, candidate will document vitals daily including blood pressure, pulse, temperature, and respiratory rate.
Obtain and document client weight weekly
Work with the Psychiatrist to ensure medications changes occur in accordance to medication management policy.
Update and maintain medication management system logs daily as required.
Submit detailed notes, for each client including daily fitness, food diaries, and 12 step meeting.
Facility scheduling and coverage
Work with management to ensure facility and employees are in adherence to all company policies and procedures
QUALIFICATIONS :
- REQUIRED ability to pass a Fingerprinting Background Clearance
- At least 1 year of supervisory experience
- Proven track record of supervising and leading teams and obtaining results
- Medical Assistant Certification (Preferred)
- Experience working with adolescents age 12-17 years old
- Crisis management skills
- Knowledge of psychopathology and dual diagnosis preferred
