We are currently seeking a dynamic and experienced individual to join our team as a Consulting Medical Records specialist in the Finance industry. Job Details
Responsibilities :
1. Manage and maintain accurate and up-to-date medical records for our clients, ensuring strict adherence to confidentiality and privacy regulations.
2. Consult with financial teams to integrate medical records into financial assessments, risk evaluations, and strategic decision-making processes.
3. Develop and implement efficient systems for the collection, storage, and retrieval of medical records.
4. Ensure full compliance with all relevant laws and regulations regarding medical records and patient privacy.
5. Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure the accuracy and completeness of medical records.
6. Provide expert advice and guidance to financial teams on the interpretation and use of medical records in financial consulting.
7. Train and educate financial staff on the importance of medical records, their proper handling, and their role in financial decision-making.
8. Regularly audit medical records systems to ensure their effectiveness and compliance with all relevant standards and regulations.
9. Participate in the development of strategic plans, risk assessments, and business decisions that involve the use of medical records.
Qualifications :
1. A minimum of 2 years of experience in managing medical records, preferably within a financial environment.
2. A bachelor's degree in Health Information Management, Healthcare Administration, or a related field. A master's degree will be a plus.
3. Certified as a Registered Health Information Administrator (RHIA) or a Registered Health Information Technician (RHIT).
4. Strong knowledge of medical terminology, coding systems, and the legal aspects of health information.
5. Excellent understanding of privacy laws and regulations related to medical records and patient information.
6. Proven experience in consulting, with the ability to integrate medical records into financial decision-making processes.
7. Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail.
8. Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with a diverse team of professionals.
9. Proficient in the use of electronic health records systems and other relevant software.
10. A strong ethical stance on patient privacy and the confidentiality of medical records.
