Job Functions :
The purpose of this position is the day-to-day clerical and communication distribution for the campus telephone system, as well as other types of communication such as typing, spreadsheet preparation, paging, message taking, etc., and presenting and directing persons related to admissions, tours and questions about the Village Care Center and Baptist Life Communities.
1.Consistently model and demonstrate excellence in customer service, with a constant focus on person-centered care / services delivery.
2.Greets and directs all visitors courteously, whether in person or by telephone. Directs calls or gives the options of voice mail or taking messages. Gives visitors without an appointment the option of waiting or perhaps seeing an alternative person.
3.Is knowledgeable of all of the entities and services of Baptist Life Communities, in order to be able to offer alternative sites and / or ideas to the customer.
4.Supports the Administrator and Director of Admissions with typing, envelope stuffing, computer work, copying, etc.
5.Assists Admissions with admission documentation, insurance verification, NOMNCs, Map 24s, 350s, 409s and SNFABNs.
6.Processes insurance updates.
7.Assists with collections as needed.
8.Keeps reception area in an orderly manner, ever mindful of the marketing impact of the visual appearance of the building.
9.Provides tours of the VCC facility, as needed.
10.Various other duties as assigned by the Administrator or, as time allows, other management personnel at the campus.
EDUCATION, QUALIFICATIONS AND CREDENTIALS
High School education required, associate degree or corresponding work experience preferred.Good knowledge of office procedures, office technology and spreadsheet, presentation and writing software packages.
