Job Title : Medical Office Assistant

Job Description

As a vital member of the patient care team, you will assist providers and nursing staff with daily office duties in an outpatient setting. This role requires interaction with patients and support for medical practitioners.

Responsibilities

Perform specific duties that support patient care.

Take and record vital signs.

Conduct client intake and room patients.

Maintain accurate documentation.

Work in an outpatient setting.

Essential Skills

Certification with AAMA or ARMA is mandatory.

2+ years of experience as a Medical Assistant.

Proficiency in medical assisting and patient care.

Experience with Epic and electronic health records.

Strong communication and flexibility skills.

Medical Assistant Certification is required.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

Specialty experience is a plus.

Knowledge of medical terminology and healthcare practices.

A Medical Assistant diploma is preferred.

Work Environment

The position is based in New Haven county. The role requires flexibility as the schedule ranges between 7 : 00 AM to 5 : 45 PM, typically working 37.5 hours per week. Dress code and working conditions are typical of a multispecialty healthcare setting.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract position based out of New Haven, CT.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $19.00 - $26.00 / hr.
