DUTIES / RESPONSIBILITIES-

• Ensures the safe, productive, and efficient operation of the clinic assigned through timely and attentive administrative and clinical support (as authorized or licensed)
• Ensures all patients enjoy a positive experience, treated with the care and compassion expected
• Ensures all patient records and related documents are managed and maintained timely, accurately, and consistent with all HIPAA and related regulations and requirements
• Ensures all tasks provided and associated with patient care, patient administrative processes, and related duties comply with all regulatory and accreditation standards, as well as clinic policies and procedures
• Ensures all necessary supplies are stocked. Promptly reports when supplies are low and works with Clinical Director to ensure timely reordering is completed
• Demonstrates proficiency in clinical / technical tasks such as venipuncture, and immunization administration; follows universal precautions
• Administers COVID vaccinations and manages COVID testing when needed
• Prepares patient charts prior to clinical exams, proactively communicating with providers about specific patient needs
• Maintains exam rooms according to protocols : Cleans rooms between patient exams to ensure patients' comfort and compliance with infection control standards
• Prepares patients for clinical exam / visit, including the collection of typical patient vital metrics (blood pressure, temperature, height, weight etc.)
• Obtains blood specimens by performing venipunctures and finger sticks
• Maintains specimen integrity by using aseptic technique, following department procedures; observing isolation procedures
• Performs phlebotomy, EKG's, and level one labs.
• Assists providers with clinical visits and outpatient office procedures
• Performs clinic procedures according to policy and procedure.
• Ensures completion of Social Determinants of Health Questionnaire with the patient, referring them to internal resources as applicable.
• Participates in departmental and organizational quality improvement projects.
• Assists with other duties as assigned by Clinical Director and / or Practice Coordinator
