MUST HAVE EXPERIENCE IN SCHEDULING
POSITION SUMMARY :
The coordinator is responsible for maintaining adequate follow ups and uploading of records for the facility. The person holding this position is delegated the responsibility for carrying out the assigned duties and responsibilities in accordance with current existing federal and state regulations and established company policies and procedures.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS :
Assists in appointment follow up and uploading of documents for different positions.
Attends departmental meetings, in-service educational meetings, and on-the-job training
Ensures that appropriate training records are maintained for nursing staff
Maintains job applications for personnel eligible to work in the facility (including job applications, resumes, reference checks)
Maintains confidentiality of all pertinent personnel information in accordance with the Privacy Act, as well as facility policies and procedures
Maintains nursing schedules as appropriate
Stays well-informed of staffing needs as census increases or decreases
Assist in hiring personnel in accordance with established hiring practices
Other related duties as assigned by Administrator / Director of Nursing
KNOWLEDGE / SKILLS & ABILITIES :
Must possess the ability to make independent decisions in certain circumstances
Must possess the ability to deal tactfully with personnel, residents, family members, visitors, governmental agencies and the general public
Must maintain confidentiality of all resident information, be knowledgeable and comply with residents’ rights
Must be able to understand and carry out written and oral instructions
Must be knowledgeable of computers, data entry, output, etc.
Must be able to work flexible hours including evenings, weekends and / or holidays
Must be able to work independently and as a member of a team
EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE :
- Must have, as a minimum (1) year experience in long term care.
- Must be a high school graduate or equivalent.
- Must meet health assessment requirements
