  • Job Summary :

MCare Agency is seeking a detail-oriented Surgery Scheduler to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for coordinating surgical procedures, ensuring efficient scheduling, and providing exceptional patient service. This role plays a crucial part in the smooth operation of our surgical department.

  • Duties :
  • Schedule surgical procedures accurately and efficiently using medical scheduling systems.
  • Coordinate with medical staff, patients, and insurance providers to confirm appointments.
  • Maintain detailed records of surgeries, including patient information and procedure details.
  • Communicate effectively with patients regarding pre-operative instructions and post-operative follow-ups.
  • Collaborate with the surgical team to optimize scheduling and ensure timely patient care.
  • Utilize knowledge of medical terminology to assist in scheduling appropriate procedures.
  • Handle administrative tasks related to surgery scheduling, such as updating patient files and coordinating with other departments.
  • Requirements :
  • Experience in medical scheduling, preferably using systems like Dentrix or Eagle soft.
  • Proficiency in medical terminology and understanding of surgical procedures.
  • Strong background in patient service and administrative tasks within a healthcare setting.
  • Knowledge of ER operations and ability to handle urgent scheduling needs.
  • Previous experience as a medical receptionist or in a similar role is advantageous.
