A company is looking for a Patient Scheduler to join their GI, Tumor & Endocrine Surgery team. Key Responsibilities Manage front office functions including answering phones and directing calls Schedule patient appointments and manage referral work queues in EPIC Verify patient information and retrieve medical records while adhering to HIPAA guidelines Required Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent with a minimum of 2 years' experience in a healthcare setting Exposure to complex patient scheduling in an electronic medical record system; bachelor's degree and / or EPIC experience preferred Proficiency in MS Office Suite applications Broad knowledge of medical practice front office operations and medical terminology Familiarity with insurance plans, ICD-10 / CPT coding, and prior authorization requirements is a plus
