Job Details
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Permanent Medical Assistant to join our dynamic healthcare team. This role is integral to our mission of providing high-quality patient care. It involves a combination of administrative and clinical tasks, including measuring vital signs, managing electronic health records (EHR), performing phlebotomy, and assisting with medical procedures.
Responsibilities :
As a Permanent Medical Assistant, your duties will include but are not limited to :
1. Assisting physicians and nurses during examinations and procedures, ensuring patient comfort and safety at all times.
2. Performing routine clinical tasks such as measuring vital signs, administering injections, and drawing blood (phlebotomy).
3. Accurately recording patient information and medical histories in our Electronic Health Records (EHR) system.
4. Preparing and sterilizing medical instruments and equipment before procedures.
5. Scheduling appointments, managing patient flow, and maintaining communication with patients and their families.
6. Ensuring that examination rooms are clean, stocked, and ready for patients.
7. Adhering to all relevant health and safety standards, as well as legal regulations.
Qualifications :
To be considered for this role, you must possess the following qualifications :
1. A minimum of 2 years of experience as a Medical Assistant or in a similar role within the healthcare industry.
2. Proficiency in measuring vital signs and performing phlebotomy.
3. Experience with Electronic Health Records (EHR) systems.
4. Familiarity with medical procedures and terminologies.
5. Completion of an accredited Medical Assistant program.
6. Certification as a Medical Assistant (CMA) is preferred.
7. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with a patient-focused approach.
8. Ability to multitask, prioritize, and manage time effectively.
9. Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
10. Physical stamina to stand for long periods and lift moderate weights when necessary.
