Hours :
Position 1 : 30 hours a week
Position 2 : 22.5 hours a week
Caseload / Details : Position 1 :
- 7 = 3.5 days, 26.25 hours a week / PK Out-Of-District .1= 1 / 2 day or 3.75 hrs per week
Position 2 :
Both positions require CDE
Schools Experience preferred
Elementary Caseloads
Job Tasks : 1. Student Support
Identifying and addressing students' social, emotional, and behavioral challenges.
Providing one-on-one counseling for students dealing with personal or family issues.
Developing individualized strategies to help students improve academic performance and social skills.
Assisting students in crisis situations, such as abuse, bullying, or mental health concerns.
2. Collaboration with School Staff
Working closely with teachers and administrators to create a positive school environment.
Helping staff understand the social and emotional needs of students.
Participating in or leading school-based intervention teams, such as IEP (Individualized Education Program) or 504 planning meetings.
3. Family Engagement
Serving as a liaison between the school and families to address student needs.
Providing parents with resources and strategies to support their children's success.
Referring families to community resources, such as counseling, housing assistance, or financial aid.
4. Crisis Intervention
Responding to emergencies, including incidents of violence, natural disasters, or the death of a student or staff member.
Providing immediate support and follow-up services to students, families, and staff in crisis situations.
5. Advocacy
Advocating for students' rights and needs within the school system.
Ensuring students have access to necessary services, accommodations, or interventions.
Promoting an inclusive environment where diversity and equity are valued.
6. Community Collaboration
Building partnerships with local organizations to bring additional resources and programs to the school.
Facilitating workshops or programs on topics like bullying prevention, mental health awareness, or substance abuse.
7. Documentation and Reporting
Maintaining confidential records of student interactions and progress.
Preparing reports for school leadership or external agencies as needed.
Monitoring and evaluating the effectiveness of interventions and programs.
8. Prevention and Education Programs
Implementing programs to address issues such as truancy, substance abuse, or peer conflict.
Educating students and staff on mental health, conflict resolution, and coping strategies.
9. Compliance and Ethical Practice
Following legal and ethical guidelines in handling sensitive student and family information.
Staying updated on policies affecting education and child welfare.
