The Courier coordinates the pick-up and delivery of medical specimens, reports, and supplies from area medical facilities. Working under close supervision, this role communicates effectively with departments to deliver products in a timely fashion. The schedule for this position is
1st Shift, 2nd shift, and mid-day shifts, Monday through Friday.
- Reviews and abide by the established schedule or dispatched route in order to meet all delivery needs efficiently.
- Documents the condition and maintenance of the hospital vehicle and coordinates with the appropriate parties to fix problems that arise.
- Handles the operations of the hospital vehicle in compliance with Department of Transportation and motor vehicle regulations in order to ensure safe driving.
- Assists with any issues that arise related to incorrect addresses to deliver materials to the correct parties.
- Responds to internal inquiries regarding delivery times and schedules to meet needs and resolve any concerns.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
EDUCATION :
Required : High School Diploma or equivalent
EXPERIENCE :
Required : 1 year of experience.
LICENSURE / CERTIFICATION / REGISTRY / LISTING :
Required : Valid Driver's License (if driving a Cone Health vehicle, must have 5 years of driving experience and Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) must be approved by Risk Management)
