CACI's Mastodon Design team is looking to hire a Technical Writer to join their team. This organization in CACI specializes in designing and building hardware and software to meet our customers’ next requirement. We focus on offering devices that can be fielded immediately to meet the mission needs that lie directly ahead. Size, weight, power, and packaging are of paramount importance in everything we design and build. Our expertise allows us to rapidly provide these solutions in specialized electronic / mechanical design, embedded & application-level software, reverse engineering & protocol analysis, and RF signals exploitation and communications systems.
This position can be remote but will require travel.
What You’ll Get to Do :
- Product artifact creation & support with a focus on technical documents such as operational user manuals, quick reference user guides, packing lists, training material & interconnect diagrams, etc.
- Responsible for designing and maintaining new and sustainment training materials; liaise with engineering, customers, technical writing staff, and to ensure the program of instruction (POI) is accurate and up to date.
- Analyze customer feedback before and after delivering technical publications to enhance content depth, quality, and relevance; collage feedback to prepare training after action reports for PLM to enhance the development decision process.
- Develop comprehensive documentation that meets organizational standards.
- Obtain a deep understanding of products and services to translate complex product information into simple, polished, and engaging content.
- Write user-friendly content that meets the needs of the target audience, turning insights into language that sets up our users for success.
- Evaluate current content and develop innovative approaches for improvement
- Travel up to 20% of the time to leverage real-world equipment observation into material generation and maintenance; remote work possible.

The proposed salary range for this position is :
