Salary / Hourly Rate : 27.00 - 31.00

This position provides voluntary mental healthcare to current participants and / or Denver residents 18 years of age and older. This includes assessment / consultation, therapy, creating / facilitating psychoeducation groups, therapeutic groups, and referrals. Services may be provided on a walk-in, call-in, or appointment basis. Mental health services will be delivered to participants during business hours, in-person at company-defined locations, and / or via telehealth (HIPAA-compliant phone or video).

Primary Duties

Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions. These duties and responsibilities will be rated on the Annual Performance Review.

  • Provide assessment, consultation, brief intervention and / or referrals to community providers for participants both on a walk-in and appointment basis.
  • Facilitate voluntary 1 : 1 counseling for individuals who express interest in mental health care. Counseling services are provided virtually (by phone and / or HIPAA compliant video), at ServiceSource offices, or at different locations around the Denver Metro Area.
  • Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation using SOAP or DAP notes, ensuring Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA) compliance.
  • Provide direct intervention and referral to clients experiencing mental health crises during normally scheduled hours within the professional's scope of practice
  • May facilitate or co-facilitate groups for up to 10 individuals including topics such as addiction recovery, psychoeducation, life skills and others
  • Perform other responsibilities as assigned.

Additional Responsibilities

  • Achieve or maintain active mental health professional licensure within the state of Colorado.
  • Maintain malpractice insurance with appropriate state and federal agencies.
  • If unlicensed, or practicing under supervision, achieve independent level mental health licensure including but not limited to Licensed Clinical Social Worker or Licensed Professional Counselor.
  • Conduct outreach internally and with partner agencies, as appropriate, to ensure company services are fully utilized.
  • Provide support and consultation to Bayaud staff serving clients with mental health challenges.
  • Coordination with outside mental health agencies will be required to establish referral partnerships and "warm handoff" program participant discharge.
  • Offer referrals to company internal services as well as external community partners on an as-needed basis to support participants in meeting their own needs.
  • Minimal facilitation and development of general company staff group training on mental health, addiction, or other appropriate services.
  • Maintain timely and accurate data entry into participant database and others as appropriate.
  • Participate in team meetings and conferences / meetings as appropriate.
  • Engage in ongoing professional development to obtain or maintain licensure.
  • Other duties, as assigned, within the scope of licensure and experience.
  • Qualifications : Education, Experience, and Certification(s)

  • EDUCATION : Master's degree in psychology, Social Work or a related field required along with a minimum of 1-year direct experience serving vulnerable populations and facilitating groups.
  • LANGUAGE : Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively with individuals and before groups of customers or employees of organization.
  • MATHEMATICAL SKILLS : Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume. Ability to apply basic concepts of algebra and geometry.
  • REASONING ABILITY : Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
  • Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • Excellent communication skills (written and verbal), grammar, and reasoning skills.
  • Good understanding of Trauma Informed Care.
  • Committed to social justice.
  • Cultural competency and humility.
  • Flexibility and willingness to meet participant and program needs as they arise.
  • Adherence to the National Association of Social Workers (NASW) Code of Ethics, the American Counseling Association Code of Ethics or equivalent depending on licensure.

  • Master's degree in psychology, mental health counseling, social work, or related field.
  • Desire to obtain independent Colorado Mental Health licensure.
  • Or independently licensed in Colorado, including but not limited to one of the following credentials : Licensed Clinical Social Worker, Licensed Professional Counselor.
  • In addition to above credentials, experience working with clients with substance use is preferred.
  • Bilingual Spanish / English preferred.
  • Ability to practice self and community care regularly.
  • Excellent Microsoft 365 skills, especially Excel, Outlook, Word, and SharePoint.
  • Excellent communication skills (written and verbal), grammar, and reasoning abilities.
  • Strong understanding of Trauma Informed Care principles.
  • Demonstrated commitment to social justice.
  • Cultural competency and humility in working with diverse populations.
  • Flexibility and willingness to adapt to participant and program needs as they arise.
  • Adherence to professional ethical standards such as the NASW or ACA Code of Ethics, depending on licensure.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, especially Excel, Outlook, Word, and SharePoint.
  • Ability to read, interpret, and apply written instructions; perform mathematical calculations; and solve practical problems using various forms of instruction.
