Job description5+ years of experience in retail merchandising, preferably in the contemporary or fashion industry. Proven ability to analyze data and make informed merchandising decisions based on sales, trends, and market analysis. Strong understanding of the fashion industry, retail operations, and consumer behavior. Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with experience working in cross-functional teams. Strong organizational and project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously. Proficiency in Microsoft Office and merchandising software (e.g., Excel, SAP, or other retail management tools). Passion for fashion and trends, with an eye for product curation and brand development. Bachelor's degree in Fashion Merchandising, Business, or a related field. Position Overview :
We are seeking a highly skilled and strategic Merchandising Manager to oversee the development and execution of our client's merchandising strategy. This role will play a critical part in ensuring that our product assortments align with brand vision, customer preferences, and market trends. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in retail merchandising, a keen eye for fashion, and the ability to lead cross-functional teams.
Responsibilities of the Merchandising Manager :
- Develop and execute product assortments, ensuring they align with the brand's vision, sales goals, and market trends.
- Analyze sales data, customer feedback, and industry trends to optimize product offerings, pricing, and inventory levels.
- Collaborate with design, production, and marketing teams to ensure timely product launches and effective go-to-market strategies.
- Oversee the creation and maintenance of seasonal and weekly merchandising plans, ensuring products are allocated to the right stores and channels.
- Work closely with the visual merchandising team to ensure cohesive store displays and in-store experiences that reflect the brand identity.
- Lead the buying process, from initial product selection through to final purchase orders, including negotiating with vendors and managing relationships.
- Monitor product performance, track KPIs, and adjust assortments based on market feedback and sales analysis.
- Collaborate with eCommerce and retail teams to develop cohesive online and in-store merchandising strategies.
- Manage inventory levels to ensure optimal stock availability while minimizing excess stock and markdowns.
- Stay up-to-date with market trends and competitor activities to identify new opportunities for the brand.
