Title :

Engineer - Military Satellite Communications

KBR is seeking a motivated individual with Military Satellite Communications (MILSATCOM) and / or Commercial SATCOM (COMSATCOM) with system engineering experience and operational space and ground system knowledge to support of Headquarters Space Operations Command (HQ SpOC) located on Peterson Space Force Base, Colorado Springs, CO.

A strong candidate has experience supporting SATCOM space and ground systems throughout their life cycle including requirements, acquisition, test, fielding, sustainment, and transition to operations. In this position, you will provide SATCOM engineering expertise to inform HQ SpOC decisions. Responsibilities include :

Key Responsibilities :

• Document and communicate recommendations for HQ SpOC policy positions related to the acquisition, fielding, and sustainment of new and emerging space and ground systems
• Provide requirements, operations, sustainment, and engineering technical analysis and support
• Conduct system engineering analysis to support development and verification of test and system acceptance requirements
• Support Deltas with both immediate and deliberate operational requirements
• Facilitate external and internal project stakeholder engagements focused on achieving program goals and objectives
• Provide the customer rapid responses to taskings and prepare customized and professional products as directed by the tasking guidance
• Travel may be required for limited durations to CONUS and OCONUS locations

Basic Compensation : 115,000 -$130,000

This range is for Colorado only.

The offered rate will be based on the selected candidate’s knowledge, skills, abilities and / or experience and in consideration of internal parity.

Additional Compensation :

KBR may offer bonuses, commissions, or other forms of compensation to certain job titles or levels, per internal policy or contractual designation. Additional compensation may be in the form of sign on bonus, relocation benefits, short term incentives, long term incentives, or discretionary payments for exceptional performance.
