Are you a compassionate and dedicated Psychiatrist with a passion for serving a diverse population? The Mental Health Service at our Bakersfield Community-Based Outpatient Clinic is seeking talented professionals to provide exceptional care to our nation s Veterans.

Key Responsibilities :

• Deliver a full range of psycho-diagnostic services and therapeutic interventions.
• Collaborate as part of a multidisciplinary team, including primary care, psychology, nursing, and social work professionals.
• Provide medication management for patients with various mental health disorders.
• Offer supportive psychotherapy and facilitate medication support groups when indicated.
• Evaluate and provide medical clearance for patients requiring psychiatric hospitalization.
• Conduct crisis assessments and interventions.
• Participate in treatment planning conferences and coordinate consults and referrals for specialty mental health services.
• Contribute to the education and mentorship of psychiatry residents and medical students through our affiliation with UCLA, with eligibility for a health sciences faculty appointment at the UCLA Geffen School of Medicine.
