Job Summary:
A Veteran Care and Independence Aide provides personal, non-medical care and daily living support to help military veterans live safely and autonomously at home.
Key Responsibilities
Personal Care: Assist with activities of daily living like bathing, grooming, dressing, eating, and toileting.
Household Support: Help with light housekeeping, meal preparation, grocery shopping, and laundry.
Mobility & Transport: Assist with safe transfers, walking, and transportation to medical appointments.
Health Monitoring: Track medication schedules or reminders and report changes in the veteran's condition to family or case managers.
Companionship: Provide social engagement and emotional support to maintain dignity and improve quality of life.
Requirements:
Education: High School diploma or equivalent required
Skills: Strong communication, empathy, patience, and basic knowledge of emergency protocols. Compassionate and patient demeanor, with a commitment to providing exceptional care
Background Check: Fingerprint Clearance Card
