Project Engineer
(Complex Bridge and Railway Construction)
Project Engineers are responsible for coordination of field activities, including subcontractor and client interactions, material procurement and work with the Project Manager and Superintendent/Foreman to deliver a project within budget and schedule. The ability to problem solve while under pressure, multi-task, negotiate and communicate effectively is essential.
Qualifications and Education
- BS in Civil or Mechanical Engineering
- Active P.E. (major plus)
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, AutoCad
- Experience/training in construction surveying a plus
- Ability to thrive in a changing environment
- Excellent writing and communication skills
- Strong organizational skills
- Ability to work on active construction site
- Willingness to travel, sometimes on short notice and work a job rotation schedule
Supervisory Responsibilities: Experienced project engineers may be asked to supervise other field engineers
Ideal Candidate: Professional Engineer - Civil Engineering Degree - Experience with Bridge/Rail projects
