If they cannot do this, please do not send them to me. Enterprise Modeling Lead Role The role was titled “Enterprise Modeling Lead” and placed under the Solution Architect rate card. It does not need to be local. The team is looking for someone highly skilled in BiZZdesign, ideally someone who hasworked at or with BiZZdesign. The tool was introduced last fall at Wellmark but hasn’t been fully leveraged due to internal shifts. The ideal candidate : Knows the tool deeply Can teach and guide the team Can help set up best practices and drive value May not be an architect but must understand architecture through the tool This could become a long-term durable role due to the ongoing need for modeling and communication between technical and business stakeholders. Deep experience with BiZZdesign and ArchiMate Ability to use HoriZZon to translate technical models into business-friendly views Strong understanding of tool hygiene, governance, and modeling discipline Scripting and automation skills are a strong nice-to-have, especially for integrations No current integrations exist, but future plans include connecting to tools like Azure DevOps Importing Visio diagrams is a desired capability (not yet documented) Business Process Modeling (BPMN) is aspirational but valuable—candidates should be comfortable with it Understanding how diagrams and documents fit into the broader architecture picture is important Job Description DO NOT PUBLISH. We’re maturing an enterprise-level Adaptive Architecture practice aligned to SAFe and a product operating model. You’ll own our BiZZdesign Enterprise Studio / HoriZZon repository, elevate ArchiMate 3.x as the common notation across strategy, business, application, data, technology, and implementation, and publish decision-ready views from the boardroom to the ARTs. What you’ll do Modeling & Viewpoints Build and maintain end-to-end ArchiMate models (Strategy / Motivation, Business, Application, Data, Technology, Implementation & Migration Produce consumable viewpoints for execs and engineers (capability maps, value streams, operating model views, system context / C4 L2-L3, interface catalogs, API / event catalogs, NFR views, roadmaps Create BPMN-aligned process views and trace them to capabilities, applications, and data. Repository Ownership & Governance Curate metamodel conventions, element dictionaries, naming / ID standards, and relationship policies. Stand up quality checks (orphans, duplicates, relation integrity, layering rules) and a publish cadence via HoriZZon. Manage libraries of templates, patterns, and reference architectures, drive reuse. Tooling Integration & Automation Integrate BiZZdesign with Azure DevOps / GitHub (work items ? elements), CMDBs, cloud catalogs (AWS / Azure), and data sources (CSV / Excel / REST Automate imports / exports and reports (e.g., interface maps, dependency graphs, tech risk heatmaps SAFe Enablement & Flow Support LPM, Solution / Enterprise Architects, and ARTs : pre-PI runway views, PI-planning dependency maps, enabler linkage, and NFR visibility in pipelines. Maintain a “living” architecture runway and impact analysis for epics, features, and enablers. Coaching & Evangelism Coach architects / engineers on ArchiMate viewpoints and modeling hygiene. Run a modeling guild; deliver short clinics and office hours. What you’ve done 5–8+ years in Enterprise / Solution Architecture or Enterprise Modeling, with 3+ years hands-on BiZZdesign (Enterprise Studio + HoriZZon Deep command of ArchiMate 3.x viewpoints and relationships; able to translate messy reality into clear, consumable views. Built capability maps, value streams, application and data portfolios, interface catalogs, tech roadmaps, reference architectures, and migration plans. Practiced in SAFe (Portfolio / ART context), tying epics / enablers / NFRs to the architecture runway. Comfortable with BPMN, C4-style context / container views, and mapping to ArchiMate. Experience integrating modeling tools with DevOps / ALM and CMDB / cloud sources; basic scripting (e.g., Python, REST) a plus. Cloud literacy (AWS and / or Azure), API management, event-driven patterns familiarity. Excellent facilitation : can run working sessions and publish decision-ready viewpoints fast. Nice to have ArchiMate Practitioner certification (The Open Group BiZZdesign training / certification or equivalent portfolio. Regulated industry background (e.g., healthcare / finance Data modeling (conceptual / logical), lineage, and catalog integrations.
