Schedule : 6 : 30 am - 7 : 00 pm, Monday - Wednesday
Your role with us
As the Imaging Shift Lead, you'll provide both technical expertise and frontline leadership to ensure high-quality imaging services and efficient daily operations. You'll be a key point of contact for staff and providers, helping to maintain a positive and productive environment. In this hybrid role, you'll balance hands-on imaging work with leadership responsibilities including workflow coordination, quality oversight, and team support. This position is ideal for an experienced radiologic technologist ready to take on a leadership role and foster a culture of teamwork, accountability, and continuous improvement.
What you'll do
- Delivering High-Quality Imaging : Perform diagnostic imaging exams using appropriate exposure factors based on patient anatomy, condition, and cooperation. Ensure complete, accurate, and diagnostic images while minimizing radiation exposure.
- Technical Oversight : Troubleshoot equipment issues and guide staff on proper use of all diagnostic imaging equipment. Determine when emergency service is needed and respond appropriately in the absence of management.
- Team Leadership & Workflow Management : Organize and delegate tasks to maintain smooth and efficient patient flow. Manage add-on exams and schedule adjustments in real-time to meet clinical demands.
- Quality Assurance : Monitor the quality of work performed by technologists and support staff to ensure compliance with department and organizational standards of care, safety, and professionalism.
- Professional Communication : Serve as a point of contact for questions or concerns during the shift, facilitating issue resolution with a professional and collaborative approach. Communicate effectively with staff, physicians, and other departments.
- Scheduling & Staff Support : Assist with planning and implementing staff schedules. Offer coaching and feedback to support staff development, including input for performance evaluations.
- Departmental Engagement : Support hospital initiatives including performance improvement, cost-effective resource use, and employee engagement. Contribute to process improvements and share feedback with leadership regarding workflow or operational needs.
Required qualifications
Radiology Technologist license by the Oregon Board of Medical Imaging (OBMI).
