- Part-time
Responsible for data collection, both abstracting and analyzing, accurate data entry, and data completion of trauma patient population. Also responsible for data submission and report generation for appropriate parties within the designated time frame. Assists with projects and studies as requested by the Trauma Program Manager and Trauma Medical Director. Coordinates education for the trauma registrars in association to the American College of Surgeons in relation to trauma and the National Trauma Data Base (NTDB) requirements. Liaison between the registrar team and the Trauma Program Manager.
- Current CA RN license
- Graduate nurse of an accredited school of nursing - BSN or ASN / ADN - required
- CSTR (Certified Specialist in Trauma Registry) preferred.
- AIS and ICD10 within 6 months to 1 year of hire
- Proficiency in computers and medical record applications
- Previous registry / report writing experience preferred
- Experience with Trauma Systems preferred
- Experience with Trauma One Registry preferred.
- Demonstrates strong analytical skills, strong communication skills, excellent organizational skills with ability to prioritize requests and assignments. Self-directed with ability to function independently.
