Job description

New Way Academy is looking for a part-time Music Supervisor to join our theater team in bringing Elf, Jr. to the stage! This team member would start September 3rd and attend rehearsals Tuesday and Thursday from 3 : 00 to 5 : 00 p.m. until November 15th (possibly till the 22nd).

Responsibilities

  • Assist in teaching songs, supervising and managing musical rehearsals.
  • Support the New Way culture that promotes cooperation, learning, and enjoyment.
  • Maintain and ensure student safety during rehearsals and performances.
  • Collaborate with the theater team.
  • Manage time-sheets.

Qualifications

  • Music background.
  • Passionate about empowering theater students with unique learning profiles.
  • Innovative and creative.
  • Strong planner with an emphasis on execution.
  • Effective communicator, both internally and externally.
  • Team player.
  • High level of integrity and professionalism.
  • Previous experience with students.

    • Education

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • One year minimum experience in teaching music and / or working on a musical production.
  • Prefer one year experience working with school-age children in a group setting.
  • Class 1 Fingerprint Clearance Card (within 10 days of hire).
  • 20-$30 per hour - 4 hours per week (tech week may be additional hours).
