The Role

The YouTube Creative Producer will plan, produce, edit and publish compelling long-form videos, Shorts and repeatable YouTube series from initial concept through final delivery. The role will also help strengthen The Hobby Never Sleeps podcast, product reviews, original programming and card-show content.

This is not simply an editing position. We want a creator who can identify strong ideas, shape stories, capture content, package videos for discovery and use performance data to continually improve the work.

Position Expectations

• This is a full-time position requiring at least 40 hours per week, with flexibility during major releases, card shows and priority projects.
• Remain primarily dedicated to the YouTube team and its production goals.
• Be comfortable filming in a studio and at live events, with the ability to travel when needed.
• Manage multiple projects, release schedules and deadlines without sacrificing quality.

Responsibilities

• Plan and produce YouTube videos from the initial concept through filming, editing, packaging and final publishing.
• Edit high-quality long-form content using Adobe Premiere Pro or comparable professional editing software.
• Edit short-form content and identify strong clips, hooks and standalone moments within long-form footage.
• Develop compelling video concepts, titles, thumbnails, hooks, opening sequences and story angles.
• Create professional thumbnails and supporting graphics using Adobe Photoshop or comparable design software.
• Use storytelling, pacing, sound design and visual editing techniques that keep viewers engaged.
• Help improve the production value of podcasts, product reviews, original videos and card-show content.
• Support The Hobby Never Sleeps through episode planning, recording, editing, publishing, promotion and clip development.
• Identify timely topics, guests and storylines across sports, collecting, product releases and hobby news.
• Work with WeTheHobby's on-air personalities to strengthen their stories, perspectives and on-camera performance.
• Build and manage a consistent YouTube production calendar aligned with releases, events and company priorities.
• Analyze YouTube Studio data, including click-through rate, audience retention, watch time, subscriber growth and returning viewers.
• Apply performance findings to improve future concepts, formats, hooks, titles, thumbnails, pacing and publishing decisions.
• Repurpose appropriate content across Instagram, TikTok and other platforms while tailoring it to each audience.
• Maintain WeTheHobby's voice, visual standards and brand reputation across every published asset.

What we're looking for

• Demonstrated experience creating, editing or growing YouTube content across long-form and short-form formats.
• Strong working knowledge of Adobe Premiere Pro or comparable editing software.
• Ability to create professional thumbnails and graphics in Adobe Photoshop or comparable design software.
• A strong understanding of YouTube's long-form and short-form algorithms, audience retention, click-through rate, watch time and overall content performance.
• Strong storytelling instincts and the ability to turn raw footage into a clear, entertaining and complete story.
• Strong knowledge of sports, athletes and current sports storylines.
• Sports-card and hobby knowledge is preferred, but can be taught to the right candidate.
• Ability to research unfamiliar topics quickly and understand what will make them valuable to the audience.
• A track record of contributing original video concepts, repeatable series ideas and creative solutions.
• Self-motivated, collaborative, receptive to feedback and accountable for the quality, consistency and performance of the work.

• Consistent growth in YouTube views, subscribers and returning viewers.
• Continued success in channel growth may lead to opportunities for incentives, including promotions and increased production-related responsibilities.
• Improved click-through rate, audience retention, watch time and overall video performance.
• Development of repeatable series that viewers recognize and anticipate.
• Shorts that reach audiences beyond WeTheHobby's existing customers and support long-form discovery.
• Growth of The Hobby Never Sleeps into a recognized and influential hobby podcast.
• A repeatable system for turning long-form videos and podcast episodes into multiple high-performing content assets.
• Long-form videos that establish WeTheHobby as an entertainment and media destination, not simply a place to purchase cards.
• A reliable production operation that delivers consistent, high-quality work on schedule.

Compensation & Schedule

• Schedule: Monday-Friday daytime. Occasional nights and weekends as applicable
• The salary range for this position is $78k-$95k
