Sistema Part-time General Music Teacher Job Description
Job Summary :
We are looking for a dynamic individual with a passion for teaching general music for our after-school music program. Sistema Utah is partnered with American PreparatoryAcademy to offer music classes for free to under-resourced students. Patterned afterthe El Sistema movement that originated in Venezuela, it is our hope to empower ourstudents for social change.
Duties / Responsibilities : As our general music teacher, you will teach groups of children in grades 1-4 elements of music while introducing them to the great music compositions.Hours are M, T, F, 3 : 15 p.m. to 7 : 00 p.m. and W, Th, 2 : 15 p.m. to 6 : 00 p.m.Qualifications
Education / Experience :
A college music degree and Suzuki Method teacher training is a plus but not required.Pay : $16.00 - $20.00 per hour DOE
