The Controls Technician at our client will be responsible for maintaining and providing troubleshooting efforts to controls and automation equipment for a high-volume food manufacturing facility.
Responsibilities :
Execute tasks and perform preventative maintenance on controls and automation equipment such as PLCs and HMIs
Installation of new automation systems that meet safety and quality standards
Program and integrate PLCs, HMIs on new line installations
Support the Preventative Maintenance Program with goal of reducing equipment downtime
Follow OSHA and government roles including Lock-out / Tag-out procedures. (GMPs) and personal / food safety Programs (SQF)
Maintenance record of work performed through the use of work orders, software.
Consistently seek opportunities for continuous improvement
Qualifications :
High school diploma required; Bachelor’s degree preferred
Minimum 3-5 years of controls and automation experience in a manufacturing setting
6 months of experience in a food manufacturing environment preferred
Knowledge and familiarity with Allen Bradley and Siemens controls equipment, preferred
