Job description

Benefits Account Manager

Find your place at The Partners Group, a purpose-driven company committed to making a difference in our community through our work and inspiring others to do the same.

TPG's success is driven by a culture that values partnerships. We're looking for people who invest in their relationships, seek to learn, create winning solutions for all, and do what they say they are going to do. Hard work goes without saying at TPG, supported by our culture that thrives on having fun while living well. This is what it means to be a partner for our clients and teammates.

Are you ready to join an amazing organization that has won too many "Employer of Choice" awards to list? Let's work together!

The Partners Group currently has an exciting opportunity for a client-focused employee benefits professional to join our Employee Benefits team in Renton, Washington as a Benefits Account Manager.

How you will make an impact at TPG

In this role, you'll manage a dedicated book of mid-to-large group employee benefits clients, serving as their primary point of contact and ensuring consistent, high-quality service across renewals, compliance, and day-to-day needs. By coordinating marketing efforts, analyzing plan performance, and guiding clients through complex benefits decisions, you'll directly support their ability to offer competitive, compliant programs to their employees. Your work will help strengthen long-term client relationships and contribute to retention, growth, and overall service excellence across the Employee Benefits team.

This role is well suited for someone who enjoys balancing relationship management with behind-the-scenes execution, and takes pride in delivering accurate, timely work in a high-volume environment. Success here comes from being proactive, detail-oriented, and genuinely invested in client outcomes.

A typical day in this role

  • Manage an assigned book of business, serving as the primary contact for client questions related to claims, billing, compliance, and plan changes
  • Coordinate the renewal lifecycle, including gathering data, preparing reports, and supporting the development of client-facing recommendations
  • Partner with internal teams and external carriers to market plans, analyze options, and negotiate terms that align with client goals
  • Prepare materials and lead coordination for client meetings, enrollments, and benefits education sessions
  • Analyze experience reports and plan performance data to support strategic recommendations and ongoing client service
  • Maintain accurate client records and documentation while ensuring work is completed efficiently and in alignment with established workflows

Key details

Location: Renton, WA (preferred); in-office with hybrid remote opportunities. Also open to Portland, OR, Boise, ID, or other locations for highly qualified individuals.

Hours: 40 hours/week, Mon-Fri

Salary Range: $75,000-85,000 annually (DOE)

Physical Requirements: Ability to sit for long periods of time, ability to communicate verbally and in writing, and ability to handle long periods of screen time.

Travel: Minimal, if any

Requirements

What you'll bring to the table

  • At least 2-5+ years of experience in employee benefits, insurance brokerage, or account management support
  • Active Life & Health Insurance license
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines within a high-volume workload
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with a clear client-service orientation
  • Exceptional organization, attention to detail, and follow-through in managing client deliverables
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools, including Outlook, Excel, and Word

What will make you really stand out

  • Experience working with mid-to-large group employee benefits clients (50+ lives)
  • Prior experience in an Account Manager or similar client-facing role within a brokerage environment
  • Familiarity with employee benefits compliance, regulatory considerations, or plan design analysis
  • Experience supporting marketing efforts such as RFP development, renewal strategy, or cost projections

Why join The Partners Group?

At TPG, you'll be part of one of the largest independently owned insurance brokerages in the Pacific Northwest where collaboration, integrity, and a client-first mindset guide everything that we do. We foster a supportive, professional environment that values expertise, teamwork, and long-term growth - and we invest in our people so they can do their best work. This includes:

  • A comprehensive benefits package including generous Paid Time Off, Medical and Dental Insurance, Life and Disability Insurance, a Retirement plan, and employee ownership opportunities
  • Ongoing support & development, including Continuing Education and encouragement toward professional designations
  • A hybrid work schedule that supports flexibility while maintaining strong team connection
  • Community involvement perks, including 8 hours paid volunteer time per quarter, charitable contributions matched by TPG, and an all-company holiday volunteer day
