Here, you will find a culture guided by inclusion, talented peers, comprehensive benefits and career development opportunities. Come make an impact on the communities we serve as you help us advance health optimization on a global scale. Join us to start Caring. Connecting. Growing together.

Proceed Finance is seeking a Director of National Accounts to drive new business development, strategic client acquisition, and long-term account growth across national accounts. This role is responsible for identifying and targeting prospective clients, engaging key decision-makers, developing opportunities through a consultative sales process, converting prospects into active partners, and managing the account through enrollment, activation, and ongoing expansion. We are looking for a results-oriented sales professional with proven success building a pipeline.

You'll enjoy the flexibility to work remotely from anywhere within the U.S. as you take on some tough challenges.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Identify, target, and engage prospective national account clients through strategic outbound business development efforts
  • Build and manage a solid pipeline of qualified opportunities within target markets and named accounts
  • Develop relationships with key decision-makers and influencers to uncover business needs and position Proceed Finance solutions effectively
  • Lead the full sales cycle from prospecting and discovery through proposal, negotiation, enrollment, activation, and ongoing account growth
  • Consistently achieve and exceed monthly and annual pipeline, enrollment, funded volume, and revenue targets
  • Create and deliver compelling presentations, business cases, and sales materials that demonstrate value and drive partner adoption
  • Partner cross-functionally with internal teams to support implementation, onboarding, activation, and successful launch of new accounts
  • Transition seamlessly from new client acquisition to ongoing account management, utilization growth, retention, and reactivation as needed
  • Conduct regular business reviews and use performance data, reporting, and insights to increase utilization, funded volume, and partner satisfaction
  • Consistently build and convert new national DSO and enterprise opportunities through disciplined prospecting and follow-through
  • Build and leverage a solid network of industry relationships, including DSO leaders, referral partners, and market influencers, to generate new business opportunities
  • Develop a solid understanding of target clients' business models, growth priorities, and patient financing needs to tailor solutions and accelerate adoption
  • Maintain accurate opportunity, activity, and forecast data within the current CRM system to support visibility and sales discipline
  • Maintain deep knowledge of Proceed Finance products, pricing, compliance requirements, and market positioning to support consultative selling and account expansion

You'll be rewarded and recognized for your performance in an environment that will challenge you and give you clear direction on what it takes to succeed in your role as well as provide development for other roles you may be interested in.

Required Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of sales, business development, or strategic account experience, preferably within patient financing
  • Experience identifying, qualifying, and developing opportunities with enterprise, national, or multi-site accounts
  • Experience constructing and delivering presentations to senior leaders and C-level executives
  • Proven success in new client acquisition and managing a full sales cycle from prospecting through close, enrollment, activation, and account growth
  • Demonstrated track record of meeting or exceeding pipeline, enrollment, funded volume, and revenue goals
  • Proven solid consultative selling, discovery, objection-handling, negotiation, and closing skills
  • Proven excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to clearly present complex ideas to stakeholders at all levels
  • Proven solid interpersonal skills with the ability to influence decision-makers and build trust quickly in competitive sales environments
  • Proven solid CRM discipline with the ability to manage pipeline, forecast activity, and maintain accurate account and opportunity data
  • Proven solid organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to prioritize effectively in a fast-paced sales environment
  • Proven solid analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to use market, client, and performance data to shape sales strategy
  • Ability to travel up to 50% when required

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in patient financing
  • Experience selling DSOs, multi-site provider groups, or other enterprise healthcare organizations
  • Experience with CRM platforms such as Zoho, Salesforce, or similar sales systems
  • Experience using outbound prospecting, territory planning, account-based selling, or referral-driven business development strategies
  • Proficiency using Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook
  • Entrepreneurial, self-starter mindset with a solid bias for action and ownership

At UnitedHealth Group, our mission is to help people live healthier lives and make the health system work better for everyone. We believe everyone-of every race, gender, sexuality, age, location and income-deserves the opportunity to live their healthiest life. Today, however, there are still far too many barriers to good health which are disproportionately experienced by people of color, historically marginalized groups and those with lower incomes. We are committed to mitigating our impact on the environment and enabling and delivering equitable care that addresses health disparities and improves health outcomes - an enterprise priority reflected in our mission.
