Position Overview
To provide administrative and technical human resources assistance to human resources managers in the local department. This position reports in office, core hours being 7 : 30am - 4 : 30pm.
Responsibilities
1. Manage all facets of hourly recruiting (screen applicant resumes, perform phone screens, schedule and conduct interviews, disposition candidates, extend offers and manage pre-employment process). Continually improve talent. Manage and update candidate status in recruitment system.
2. Prepare paperwork, schedule, and facilitate smooth new hire onboarding process, coordinating with cross-functional departments to deliver an exceptional first-day experience. Assist and deliver the HR orientation on company policies and programs.
3. Maintain employee personnel files for active and terminated employees in accordance with company policies and government regulations. Ensure company record retention requirements are followed.
4. Assist in coordinating Open Enrollment and Wellness initiatives annually
5. Maintain compliance with federal, state and local employment laws and regulations and recommended best practices; reviews policies and practices to maintain compliance. Maintains plant and office bulletin boards in an up-to-date and legal compliance manner. Update electronic communication displays, as needed.
6. Answer employee questions a variety of HR related issues.
7. Plans, organizes and controls all activities of the department.
8. May travel and participate in local career fairs or other Human Resources related events.
9. Other tasks as assigned.
ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES :
1. May sub for the employment interviewer during vacations or absence or during heavy hiring periods.
2. Assist in managing facets of FMLA efforts through our Leave Management System.
Qualifications
To be successful in this role, you should have : 1. A bachelor's degree in human resources, Business or related field is preferred. A two-year degree combined with related on the job experience will be considered.
2. At least two years administrative or human resources experience. Experience in the manufacturing industry, a plus.
3. Ability to maintain the highly confidential nature of human resources work.
4. Tact, above average communication skills (both verbal and written), ability to work effectively with both employees and managers. Ability to convey a positive and professional image to applicants and employees.
5. Strong organizational skills and attention to detail with demonstrated ability to balance priorities and follow through.
6. Experience or knowledge with an HRIS system and applicant tracking system is beneficial

Company Overview
Founded in 1933, Green Bay Packaging Inc. is a privately owned, vertically integrated company consisting of corrugated container plants, folding cartons, recycled and virgin linerboard mills, pressure-sensitive label rollstock, specialty converting operations, timberlands, and a sawmill facility.
The Coated Products Operations (CPO) consists of three manufacturing plants, four Slitting and Distribution Centers, and a majority interest partnership in Mexico. The CPO manufactures pressure sensitive label stock, utilizing a variety of face stock, adhesive and release liner combinations. Product capabilities include an expanded film line, as well as traditional paper, foil and thermal offerings.
The Coated Products facility in Green Bay recently completed a major expansion, making this plant a state-of-the-art facility. The expansion has doubled the size of our plant, and includes a new building, Coaters, Slitters and Automated Sequencing System.
