We offer comprehensive end-to-end support and advisory services, covering areas such as valuation modeling, cost optimization, restructuring, business design and transformation, infrastructure and real estate, mergers and acquisitions (M&A), and sustainability. The team works closely with clients at every stage of their journey, helping them navigate challenges, avoid financial pitfalls, and implement practical solutions before, during, and after major transformational projects or transactions creating lasting impact. Join Deloitte's M&A Strategy & Diligence team as a Senior Consultant and help clients make confident decisions at pivotal moments. In this role, you will work with corporate and private equity clients to assess opportunities, pressure-test investment theses, and identify value creation pathways across the deal lifecycle. If you are energized by fast-paced, high-impact work and want to help shape strategic outcomes in complex transactions, this is an opportunity to gain experience in your career on a market-leading team.

Senior consultants on the M&A Strategy & Diligence team support the development and testing of M&A strategies and deal theses. They are also responsible for:

  • Developing approaches and frameworks to test deal hypotheses and generate insights that inform client recommendations
  • Leading workstream delivery within due diligence and M&A strategy engagements, including presentation development, data analysis, and primary research
  • Conducting financial analysis to identify performance drivers and value creation opportunities
  • Supporting corporate and private equity clients across mergers, acquisitions, carve-outs, and partnership decisions
  • Contributing to practice development through eminence-building materials and point-of-view publications

A successful candidate would possess these skills:

  • Ability to work independently and collaborate as part of a team
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills
  • Meticulous attention to detail and quality of work product
  • Ability to build and sustain professional relationships
  • Ability to lead projects or workstreams
  • Ability to manage and prioritize multiple tasks in a fast-paced and dynamic environment
  • Strong interpersonal skills and professional demeanor
  • Ability to meet deadlines
  • Ability to provide clear guidance to others

Qualifications: Required: Bachelor's degree and 4+ years of consulting or industry experience; or Master of Business Administration and 2+ years of consulting or industry experience. 4+ years of mergers and acquisitions advisory or service delivery experience supporting mergers, acquisitions, carve-outs, or partnerships, including strategy, target screening, and commercial and/or operational diligence. Experience delivering 5+ commercial due diligence and/or operational due diligence engagements. Experience working with financial statements and complex financial models. Ability to travel 50%, on average, based on the work you do and the clients and industries/sectors you serve. Limited immigration sponsorship may be available. Preferred: Experience at a strategy consulting firm or a consulting firm focused on private equity or mergers and acquisitions strategy. Experience developing presentation materials in Microsoft PowerPoint. Experience supporting communications, culture, or change management workstreams in transaction environments. Experience synthesizing quantitative and qualitative data into client-ready insights. Experience mentoring junior practitioners or supporting staff development. Advanced degree, including Master of Business Administration, Juris Doctor, Doctor of Medicine, Doctor of Philosophy, or master's degree.
