The Center for Transplant Services at The University of Tennessee Medical Center, Knoxville, is seeking a qualified surgeon to join our multidisciplinary transplant team. We are an established Kidney Transplant program having performed its first kidney transplant in 1985. This is a growing program with a focus on living donor transplantation.
With a three-fold mission of healing, education and discovery, The University of Tennessee Medical Center holds a unique prominence in the area as the region s only academic medical center and Level I Trauma Center.
We are seeking a candidate to fill a faculty position at the Assistant Professor level : Board eligible or board certified in General Surgery, experienced in kidney transplantation, deceased organ recovery as well as in laparoscopic donor nephrectomy.
By the time of the appointment, the candidate must have completed training in abdominal transplantation at an ASTS (American Society of Transplant Surgeons) approved program. Experience in management of dialysis vascular access is preferred.
The successful candidate will be an employee of University Health system, the parent company of UTMC. UHS is committed to providing a competitive salary and benefit package.
